Job Description:

Join this respiratory therapy role where you'll be disassembling, washing, rinsing, drying, and packaging respiratory equipment, ensuring each piece is in top condition for patient use. Your expertise will be vital in evaluating the effectiveness of respiratory care delivered according to care plans, with opportunities to demonstrate clinical judgment and technical skill. You'll prepare and test respiratory therapy devices for safe operation, check equipment on units, report malfunctions, and maintain respiratory equipment logs in the EMR. Accurate charting on flow sheets and care plans, along with precise billing in the EMR, are key parts of the job. Performing assessments on ventilator and non-ventilator respiratory patients, analyzing blood gases, and recommending timely interventions will keep you engaged. You'll also assist in cleaning respiratory equipment, restocking supplies, and documenting patient responses and compliance, always coordinating with Respiratory Care Practitioners and relaying vital information to physicians. Job Specifics:

Location: Urbana, Illinois
Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Duration: 36 hours per week, with a total contract length of 13 weeks
