Job Description:

Join a dedicated labor and delivery team in Chandler, Arizona, on a 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) for a 13-week contract. This role offers the chance to work in a busy hospital with 18 LDRP beds, 14 OB triage beds, and 8 antepartum beds, delivering approximately 8-10 babies daily. You will be circulating and recovering C-sections, managing laboring and preterm pregnant patients, and supporting the team with computer charting in Cerner. Experience with C-sections and proficiency with Cerner charting are essential. The position emphasizes safe staffing levels aligned with AWHONN guidelines, with nurse-to-patient ratios mostly at 2:1 depending on acuity, and 1:1 for C-sections. You will participate in a one-week floor orientation, take a dysrhythmia exam with a passing score of 80%, and have the opportunity to work alongside OB hospitalists, RTs, and anesthesia staff available 24/7. This assignment provides a chance to immerse yourself in a Level II trauma center environment with a focus on maternal health.
