Job Description:

This ICU RN contract offers a chance to work in a Level 1 Trauma Teaching Hospital located in Macon, Georgia. The role involves providing specialized care for critically ill patients across various ICU units, including Medical ICU, Surgical Trauma ICU, Neuro ICU, Cardiovascular ICU, and Step-down units. The focus is on managing complex patient conditions such as ventilated patients, multiple drips (insulin, heparin, narcotics, paralytics), and performing skills like chest tube management and trach care. The shift is 12 hours overnight, allowing for a steady rhythm and ample time to enjoy the city's offerings. Unique to this assignment is the opportunity to work alongside hospitalists and intensivists 24/7 and to influence outcomes in a high-volume ICU environment while floating among units as needed, making each shift both challenging and rewarding.
