Job Description:

Join a busy medical-surgical unit in Fort Wayne as a registered nurse, where you'll be essential in delivering care to a diverse patient population. This role involves managing patients with chronic illnesses, gastrointestinal issues, infections, neurological conditions, and mental health disorders. Expect to perform assessments, care planning, and medication management, including IV therapy, wound care, and the use of various medical equipment such as telemetry monitors, IV pumps, and feeding devices. You'll be floating between general medical-surgical units, providing care that keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. The work is fast-paced and rewarding, with the opportunity to make a tangible difference in patients' recovery journeys. You'll also experience the flexibility of 12-hour shifts and a scheduled rotation, with the occasional need to float to related units as needed.
