Job Description:

This PACU RN position offers an opportunity to work in the recovery phase within a Level I trauma center, where quick thinking and independent decision-making are essential. You will be responsible for monitoring post-operative patients' recovery from anesthesia, tracking vital signs, and managing symptoms such as pain and nausea. The role involves updating medical records electronically, educating patients and their families about post-surgical care, and collaborating with the medical team to ensure smooth patient recovery. The shift runs from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with on-call responsibilities once a week and every fifth weekend, Saturday and Sunday together. Candidates must bring at least two years of recent Phase 1 PACU experience and a valid RN license in Oklahoma. Qualifications such as BLS, PALS, and ACLS are required, with certifications like CPAN, TNCC, or CCRN being highly desirable.
