Job Description:

This neuro tele RN contract offers the chance to work in a specialized unit with 48 beds, including 10 epilepsy-focused rooms. You'll handle patients with conditions such as brain tumors, subdural hematomas, and traumatic brain injuries, performing assessments that require keen attention to small changes in neurological status. The role involves managing Vents like Bipap, utilizing a SWAT RN for difficult IV sticks, and working alongside hospitalists and intensivists during day shifts. Expect to complete skills assessments like Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes in a simulated lab environment, emphasizing sterile technique and critical thinking. The assignment includes a mix of MedSurg and Tele tasks, with opportunities to contribute to patient care through assessments and monitoring, but without direct patient care responsibilities. This contract is ideal for a nurse with strong critical thinking skills and experience in neuro or med-surg settings, ready to take on a fast-paced specialty unit requiring competence in monitoring neurological and neurovascular patients.
