Job Description:
This travel healthcare contract offers a hands-on experience managing a variety of IV therapies and drips in a fast-paced environment. Nurses will titrate medications such as Heparin and Ketamine, administer blood products and antibiotics, and oversee frequent IV treatments. The role also includes collaborating with telemetry monitor techs, who read strips from the tele brand monitors, making this an engaging opportunity for those skilled in telemetry reading. Expect to start early with a charge nurse, working from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with self-scheduling and some floating to related units. The assignment emphasizes quick thinking and adaptability, with the chance to precept and gain valuable experience in a magnet-designated facility known for stroke and bariatric certifications. You'll be part of a high-turnover unit caring for COVID patients, providing a dynamic yet rewarding experience for qualified nurses.
