Job Description:

Join the team as a PCU Registered Nurse on a 13-week travel contract in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role is centered in a 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care unit dedicated to caring for neurological patients, with a focus on conditions such as stroke, CVA, and neurocritical illnesses. The position involves working 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including rotating weekends and the possibility of floating across all Cone Health facilities as needed. You will utilize centralized cardiac monitoring to track patient status and support a specialized neuro patient population. Candidates should have at least two years of hospital experience, neuro PCU background, and be comfortable with procedures like Yale Swallowing Screen, TR bands, and external CPAP/BiPAP. First-time travelers are welcome to apply, and compliance with BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications is required. Be prepared for quick-paced nights of monitoring, assessments, and collaborating closely with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and well-being.
