Job Description:

This travel nursing opportunity places you in a clinical setting where you'll be managing a diverse patient load during 12-hour night shifts. You will work alongside experienced staff to provide care for patients with diagnoses ranging from cellulitis and UTI to COPD and sepsis. Your days will involve performing critical tasks such as IV starts (requiring confidence in this skill, as no IV team is onsite), working within nurse-team ratios of 5:1 during the day and 6:1 at 11 pm, and sometimes stepping into relief charge nurse roles. Expect to engage in team nursing with LPNs, handle inpatient cases with a variety of surgical and medical conditions, and adapt to limited onsite resources. This role emphasizes your acute care and MS/MS-Tele experience, with a focus on trauma or critical access settings desired. You'll experience a fast-paced environment that requires independence, resourcefulness, and the ability to float to similar units as needed. Educated on hospital protocols and technology at orientation, you'll be an integral part of the unit's daily operations, ensuring smooth patient management through a combination of technical skills and clinical judgment.
