Job Description:

Join a reputable short-term acute care facility in St. Louis, MO, as a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN). This 13-week contract offers night shifts of 12 hours, providing an opportunity to work within a vibrant psychiatric unit that cares for adult and geriatric patients with conditions such as dementia, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will play a pivotal role in medication administration, IV starts, blood glucose monitoring, and maintaining a secure environment on a locked unit. This role might involve floating within the behavioral health service line to meet unit needs and working as a charge nurse when needed. The setting emphasizes psychiatric care with some patients having co-morbid medical issues requiring a med-surg approach. First-time travelers are encouraged to apply, and current licenses are accepted within a 75-mile radius. The hospital is a Magnet & Teaching facility, and the position includes parking options nearby.
