Job Description:

Join our team as a PCU Registered Nurse in a fast-paced surgical progressive care unit that borders on ICU-level acuity. You'll be managing post-operative patients recovering from ENT surgeries like neck dissections and mandibulectomies, thoracic procedures such as lobectomies and pneumonectomies, and complex general surgeries including pancreatic and bowel resections. Expect to perform cardiac monitoring, manage chest tubes and fresh trachs, deliver feedings, and handle epidurals and non-titratable cardiac drips. The role also involves managing IV insulin protocols, external BiPAP/CPAP, and caring for patients with total laryngectomies and doppler flap checks. This assignment provides a unique opportunity to hone advanced skills in a teaching hospital setting with opportunities to precept or shadow students.
