Job Description:

This opportunity places you on the Med/Surg and Telemetry units of a busy teaching hospital located in Macon, Georgia. As a registered nurse in this role, you'll be managing a diverse caseload, including patients with acute or chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, or infections, along with cardiac cases such as post-cath recovery, CHF, or atrial fibrillation. Your days will involve performing trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, IV maintenance, and interpreting cardiac rhythms—making each shift engaging and varied. The unit fosters a team-oriented environment where collaboration with CNAs, unit secretaries, and interdisciplinary teams ensures comprehensive patient care. You’ll be floating across all inpatient Med/Surg and Telemetry units, so adaptability and strong assessment skills are essential. Expect a blend of technical tasks, patient education, and discharge planning, all within a fast-paced setting that values resourcefulness and clinical expertise.
