Job Description:

Step into a MedSurg/Telemetry RN role at a Level 1 Trauma Designation teaching hospital in Macon, Georgia. This contract offers a chance to work in a fast-paced, busy environment, managing patients with diverse diagnoses such as cardiac post-caths, CHF, arrhythmias, and post-surgical recovery. You'll be responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms, managing drips like insulin and heparin, performing trach care, chest tube management, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team on discharge planning and patient education. The shift is 12-hour nights, providing a rhythm that allows for focused patient care and a bit of daytime freedom. You’ll be expected to function with strong assessment skills, handle IV starts, maintain assessments, and ensure continuity of care for a variety of inpatient cases. The unit is team-oriented and relies on skilled RNs to keep everything running smoothly during hectic moments. This assignment is perfect for experienced MedSurg/Telemetry nurses ready for a new challenge and comfortable with floating across different units as needed.
