Job Description:

Join this rewarding travel healthcare assignment in Weston, WI, working as a labor and delivery nurse on a unit that handles both labor and postpartum care with a total of 11 beds plus suites for C-sections and triage beds. Your role will involve caring for vaginal births, cesarean sections, inductions, hysterectomies, and managing labor through epidurals and IV medications. You'll be working 12-hour night shifts, providing direct patient care during approximately 320 births annually. This assignment offers a chance to experience a supportive environment with OB neonatologists on-site 24/7, in-house anesthesia, and in-house RT support for special care nursery babies. Be prepared to work alongside charge nurses and house supervisors, with opportunities to float to other units as needed. The facility emphasizes adherence to AWHONN guidelines for ratios and requires certifications such as BLS, NRP, and potentially others. This role is designed for experienced labor and delivery nurses who can efficiently manage labor induction, c-sections (recovering patients except under general anesthesia), and epidural titrations. No direct charge nurse responsibilities or call shifts are included, and there is flexibility to pick up extra shifts when available.
