Job Description:

Join us as a Medical Surgical Float Registered Nurse for an engaging 13-week travel assignment in Boone, NC. This role offers a hands-on experience floating between ICU, intermediate, step-down, and med-surg units, providing variety and a chance to refine your adaptable nursing skills. You’ll work three 12-hour night shifts weekly, starting in the evening and ending early the next morning, with the possibility of working up to two weekends per month. This position is a dedicated float role with no holiday RTO requests, and your flexibility is key — you may be asked to work two of the three major holidays during your contract. Expect to manage patient ratios typically between 1:5 to 6 depending on patient acuity, on an Epic EMR system. Candidates should have at least two years of recent travel nursing experience, with current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, and hold an active North Carolina or Multistate license. All-white or navy scrubs are required for a professional look. The facility requires candidates to reside at least 40 miles away and provide a driver’s license for address verification prior to acceptance.
