Job Description:

This PACU Registered Nurse position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced recovery environment where the focus is on managing post-operative patients recovering from various surgical procedures. The role primarily involves overseeing patients in the Phase 1 Recovery Unit, including those coming directly from the OR, IR, EP Lab, and ICU. You will be responsible for assessing patients’ readiness for discharge, monitoring vital signs, and managing post-anesthesia recovery using advanced equipment such as cardiac monitors and ICP monitoring devices. No floating to ICU is required, but prior ICU experience is essential as you may occasionally upgrade and manage ICU-level care within PACU. The schedule features 12-hour day shifts, and thorough, individualized orientation ensures you are well-prepared. This assignment is unique because you'll work in a versatile environment dealing with varied diagnoses and implementing specialized procedures, making each shift engaging and impactful.
