Job Description:

Join a correctional healthcare team as a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse in Columbus, Ohio, where you'll float between Oncology and general MS units in a secure facilities environment. This role involves managing patients with active oncology diagnoses, including solid tumors and hematology, as well as those admitted for surgical procedures, COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, and other conditions. You'll be responsible for providing critical support in a controlled setting, with some shifts focusing on specialized oncology work and others on routine medical-surgical care. Epic charting and Pyxis medication management are integral parts of daily responsibilities. The assignment offers a unique opportunity to work in a locked correctional unit overseen by corrections officers, with patient care taking place in a highly secure environment—think of it as healthcare behind bars, where professionalism meets resilience.
