Job Description:

Join the team on a 26-bed SICC unit in Kansas City, caring for thoracic and vascular surgery patients immediately post-operatively after anesthesia recovery and post-op cardiothoracic surgery patients transferring from the CVICU. You will work closely with patients undergoing complex procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, and TAVR, managing their intricate needs including chest tubes, epicardial wires, temporary pacemakers, multiple IV drips, and wound care. The role involves interpreting dysrhythmias, managing cardiac drips, and handling equipment like pleur-evac and wound vacs—bringing your expertise to a setting where each day presents a new challenge. Expect to be the go-to RN for post-surgical patients with multiple comorbidities, ensuring their smooth recovery within a team that values precision and compassion.
