Job Description:

This surgical acute unit in Peoria, Illinois seeks experienced RNs for 12-hour night shifts. As a traveler, you will be part of a team caring for post-operative surgical and trauma patients, managing wound care, IV therapy, pain management, drains, NGs, and central lines. Your nights will be filled with hands-on patient care, critical thinking, and collaboration with charge RNs and PCTs, all while handling a steady flow of 7-10 patients per shift. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to sharpen your post-op skills in a busy environment while enjoying the camaraderie of a dedicated team. You'll also get to troubleshoot ventilation equipment and monitor telemetry, with support from central station monitor techs. The role emphasizes practical skills and teamwork, with a schedule that includes every other weekend and holiday rotation.
