Job Description:

Join our team as an Interventional Radiology (IR) nurse for a 13-week contract in West Bronx, NY. This role offers a hands-on experience in a fast-paced IR suite located on the 8th floor, where you'll assist with vascular procedures, biopsies, and various complex treatments. Your responsibilities will include patient assessment and charting per the radiology flowsheet, managing patients through all procedure phases, and maintaining clear communication with physicians and mid-level providers regarding care plans and patient disposition. Proficiency in IV insertions and familiarity with EMR systems like Allscripts are essential. This assignment is unique in its blend of diagnostic and interventional work, providing exposure to common IR procedures such as embolizations, thrombectomies, drain placements, and pain management injections, with the opportunity to work closely with radiologists and technologists in a collaborative environment. The shift structure is 12-hour days, early mornings to evenings, with in-house IR physician coverage daily and on-call support after hours.
