Job Description:

Join a busy Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU) situated within a prominent academic medical center in Winston-Salem. As a registered nurse on this 28-bed unit, you'll manage patients with acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, arrhythmias, and vascular-related diagnoses. Your role involves interpreting cardiac rhythms, titrating infusion medications like Dobutamine and Diltiazem, and providing post-procedure care following cardiac caths, pacemaker insertions, or ablations. The environment emphasizes teamwork and a family atmosphere, with a focus on collaborative patient management and safety. Expect to support your colleagues with blood draws, safety checks, and assistance during shift changes, all while working alongside 24/7 hospitalist and intensivist support. This assignment offers the chance to deepen cardiology skills while experiencing a well-respected teaching hospital that values its staff and fosters a welcoming atmosphere.
