Job Description:

This contract position offers a unique opportunity for registered nurses to step into a role where independence and clinical expertise flourish. Working primarily on an 8-hour day shift from 7AM to 3:30PM, you'll be responsible for delivering routine and complex care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures such as caths, TAVR, and device management. The setting emphasizes collaborative effort, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of one to four, including two nurses and two techs. You'll perform assessments, administer treatments, document thoroughly, and educate patients and families, all while managing the dynamic needs of cardiac care. This assignment is perfect for a nurse comfortable working in a fast-paced, specialized environment and eager to apply or expand their critical care skills in a supportive team atmosphere.

Location: Alexandria, Louisiana

Additional Details:

This position requires current ACLS and BLS certifications, an active RN license in Louisiana or a compact state, and at least one year of related nursing experience—though new graduates are welcome. The role involves working every third or fourth weekend and being on call as scheduled.
