Job Description:

Join IU Health as a PCU Registered Nurse on a travel contract that offers a unique opportunity to work in a specialized progressive care unit focused on cardiovascular patients. This assignment involves monitoring patients post-cath lab procedures, prior to LVAD placements or heart/lung transplants, and pre-valve replacements. The role requires flexibility with weekend coverage, as travelers are expected to work approximately 50% of weekends based on unit needs. You'll be involved in tasks such as managing cardiac drips, IV starts, sheath pulls, and potentially serving as a charge nurse with proper training. The unit is a teaching environment, offering a dynamic experience that may include precepting students or shadowing new staff members. First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply, provided they meet the experience and certification requirements.
