Job Description:
This ED Holding support position in Wilmington, NC, offers a unique chance to work in a fast-paced environment within the Emergency Department's inpatient holding area. The role involves providing critical support on the float pool, managing patients with a variety of adult medical and surgical diagnoses, and covering MS/Tele as well as float to ED and MedSurg units as needed. Expect to monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, administer blood products, and perform procedures such as colostomy care, feeding tube management, and line management. The shift is scheduled for 12-hour nights, with a target of 36 hours per week, allowing you to experience the quiet of night while supporting high-acuity cases. Proactive communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly are essential in this role, which can be particularly rewarding for those looking to expand their experience in a high-acuity setting during the overnight hours.
