Job Description:

Join the Transfer Center team at Aspirus Wausau Hospital for a 9-week contract as a Transfer Nurse specializing in coordinating patient admissions and transfers across 16 hospitals. This role involves facilitating seamless transfers, collaborating with multiple disciplines, and ensuring compliance with EMTALA and other regulations. You'll be the linchpin in managing patient flow for critically ill patients, utilizing your ICU or ER experience, and working remotely to optimize outcomes. The position features 12-hour day shifts, with a focus on communication, critical thinking, and efficient system navigation—think of yourself as the system's logistical maestro, orchestrating patient movement with precision and care.
