Job Description:

Join a busy Level II Trauma Center and Level IV NICU in Tacoma, WA, as a Registered Nurse specializing in Case Management. This position entails providing inpatient case management for adult patients in ICU, PCU, MedSurg, and ER settings. You will coordinate post-discharge planning, access community resources, and support patient transitions—embracing the vital role of a healthcare navigator. Your days will involve interpreting healthcare financial and reimbursement information, working closely with leadership, peers, and case management assistants to ensure comprehensive patient support. With EPIC EMR experience, you'll quickly get involved from day one, managing a manageable patient ratio of 1:15-20. Expect a schedule of five 8-hour shifts, with every other weekend on rotation and at least one holiday. This role offers the opportunity to work between two nearby facilities, with flexibility to pick up additional shifts at other MHS sites.
