Job Description:

This travel healthcare contract offers an engaging opportunity to work on the Acute Rehab Unit in Peoria, IL, during 12-hour night shifts. As a Registered Nurse, you'll be focused on neuro and neurosurgery patients, managing complex medical cases such as amputations, multi-trauma, and cardiac conditions. The role involves collaborating with PT, OT, and SLP teams, reading strips for telemetry, and participating in team conferences. Expect to learn QRP documentation and specific rehab procedures, with a schedule that includes every other weekend and holiday rotations. The unit features a 29-bed capacity with a 5:1 day and 6:1 night patient ratio, and requires strong neuro skills without the need to titrate drips. This assignment provides a hands-on experience in a specialized setting, perfect for developing clinical expertise in neuro and complex medical care.
