Job Description:

Join a dedicated team working with adolescents experiencing mental health challenges in a 21-bed unit. As a mental health technician during the 12-hour day shift from 7 AM to 7 PM, you'll provide essential support for teens aged 13-16 dealing with diagnoses such as ODD, ADHD, depression, aggression, and early-stage psychosis. Your role involves de-escalation, ensuring safety, and assisting the clinical team in managing patient needs within a respectful and compassionate environment. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including RNs, therapists, and case managers, in a setting that promotes both stabilization and recovery for young patients. Expect some patients to exhibit aggressive behaviors, so prior experience and skills in crisis intervention are highly valued.
