Job Description:

Join a respected teaching hospital in Winston-Salem for a travel RN position in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units. Known for its Level 1 Trauma Designation and strong focus on patient safety, this role offers an engaging experience working with diverse medical diagnoses such as diabetes, gastrointestinal issues, respiratory conditions, renal diseases, and wound care. You'll be responsible for providing both direct and indirect patient care, including managing chest tubes, trachs, IV starts, drains, and TICU monitoring — making each shift both challenging and rewarding. Prepare to work 12-hour night shifts, with a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend and 75% holiday coverage. Supporting the team are skilled CNAs, receptionists, charge nurses, and 24/7 support from rapid response, hospitalists, and intensivists. The hospital employs Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing systems to facilitate efficient workflows. This assignment is perfect for a nurse with at least two years of MedSurg or telemetry experience who thrives under moderate to high stress and values teamwork and patient-centered care.
