Join a busy Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in Macon, Georgia, where you'll be stepping into the role of a surgical ward RN specializing in cardiac and vascular patients. This contract offers a unique chance to work with a variety of complex cases, including cardiothoracic surgeries, LVAD patients, and those with acute or chronic diseases. With a focus on step-down progressive care, you'll collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to monitor cardiac telemetry, manage chest tubes, perform wound care, and coordinate discharge planning. You'll navigate a fast-paced environment that demands strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency with IV insertion, and experience handling medication drips such as insulin and heparin.
