Job Description:

This assignment is for experienced ICU and PCU nurses to step into a dual-level care unit that balances high acuity cases with telemetry and stroke patient management. You will be responsible for overseeing patients with conditions such as chest pain, strokes, respiratory failure, and sepsis, providing timely interventions during your 12-hour night shifts. The role involves collaboration with a team to ensure smooth patient flow and adherence to care protocols in a 25-bed unit that operates as an overflow ICU. Expect to handle patient ratios of 1:5-6 on the floor, 1:3 in the PCU, and 1:2 in the ICU, with a focus on critical patient monitoring and emergency response. Epic electronic medical record experience is preferred, and current certifications in NIHSS, ACLS, and BLS are required. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to make a tangible difference during each night shift.

Location: Norwich, Connecticut
