Job Description:

This neuro ICU RN assignment at a busy hospital in Peoria offers a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated team managing complex neurological cases. You'll be responsible for caring for patients with conditions such as strokes, post-craniectomy recovery, and those with ventriculostomies, arterial lines, and ventilators. The role requires hands-on management of various drips, including titratable medications, and involvement in acute stroke management, including TPA administration. Expect to perform troubleshooting on high-tech RT equipment like vents and CPAP/BiPAP devices. You will work 12-hour day shifts, floating as needed across units, with every other weekend and rotating holidays. The environment encourages skill development in NIH Stroke Scale assessment and post-procedure care while providing a rewarding challenge for experienced neuro ICU nurses.
