Job Description:

Join a fast-paced MedSurg & Telemetry unit in Bakersfield, California, where no two shifts are alike. You'll work in a mixed environment with a variety of patients, including post-surgical cases, stroke patients, and those with acute or chronic conditions. The unit is busy, with frequent admissions and discharges, offering an engaging experience for seasoned nurses who thrive on variety and quick thinking. Expect to interpret cardiac rhythms, manage ventilators like Cpap or Bipap in coordination with RTs, and handle set-rate drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Heparin. The role involves 12-hour day shifts, with a commitment of 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment. You will collaborate with a welcoming yet high-performing staff while navigating a unit that demands attention to safety and efficiency.
