Job Description:

Join our Neuro ICU team in Peoria, Illinois, for a 12-hour night shift assignment that offers a mix of challenging cases and skill-building opportunities. As a registered nurse, you'll work closely with ventilated patients suffering from strokes, post-craniectomy recoveries, and patients with arterial lines or requiring thrombolytic therapy. This role involves titrating drips per physician orders, interpreting Phillips telemetry strips, and managing complex neurological conditions. The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, with charge nurses and house supervisors present for support. You'll also collaborate with respiratory therapists and patient care technicians to provide comprehensive care. This assignment provides 36 hours weekly over a two-week period, giving you the chance to sharpen your ICU skills while enjoying a structured schedule in a supportive environment.
