Job Description:

Join our team as a travel healthcare professional for a 7th-floor Oncology unit that combines challenging medical cases with a supportive, team-oriented environment. This role involves working 12-hour night shifts, where you'll be responsible for managing patients with acute oncology symptoms such as thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, sickle cell crisis, and hematological conditions. You will operate within the Meditech EMR system, collaborate with charge nurses and nurse aides, and occasionally assist in the outpatient area, ensuring treatments and patient needs are met efficiently. Certification in BLS is required, along with two years of specialty-specific experience. Familiarity with NIHSS and ONS certifications is preferred for those interested in chemo administration. Expect to work within a 1:5 ratio, sometimes 1:6, and provide exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting. The unit is designed with a focus on safety and teamwork, offering a unique opportunity to refine your oncology skills in a supportive environment.
