Job Description:

Join a fast-paced Trauma Level II emergency department in Wausau, Wisconsin, where you'll operate within an 18-bed unit that handles a diverse patient population including stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory cases. This role involves working 12-hour day shifts, typically from early morning to late afternoon, with the opportunity to float to nearby locations such as Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley. Expect to perform a variety of advanced nursing procedures, including lab draws, neb treatments, and medication administration using the Pyxis system. The environment demands resilience, independence, and swift decision-making, especially in a setting where 3-4 patients are assigned per nurse. You'll utilize EPIC for charting and must manage change effectively amidst a bustling emergency scene with a focus on trauma care. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to enhance trauma experience while working in a collaborative team that values skill, adaptability, and professionalism.
