Job Description:

Join the team at the renowned Shock Trauma PACU for a 12-week travel assignment as a registered nurse specializing in peri-anesthesia care for adults and geriatrics. This role involves alternating 12-hour shifts—days from 07:00 to 19:00 and nights from 19:30 to 07:30—and requires working weekends, holidays, and being on call. You'll be part of a close-knit, highly skilled team that manages traumatic injury cases, providing vigilant pre and post-operative care in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and technical skill are essential. Expect to handle complex procedures such as vasopressor titration, airway management, ventilated patient care, blood product administration, and fluid resuscitation. This is not your typical PACU—it's a specialized, high-stakes unit supporting the mission of the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, with opportunities to expand your expertise in trauma care outside traditional peri-anesthesia activities.
