Job Description:

This travel assignment places you in the intensive environment of a Level III Trauma Center in Milwaukee, WI, where you will work 12-hour night shifts specializing in transplant recovery and surgical patient management. Your role involves assessing post-operative adult transplant patients, including those recovering from live and kidney transplants, with responsibilities such as blood product administration, NG tube insertion, and interpretation of cardiac rhythms. You will navigate titratable drips like heparin, insulin, and Cardizem, demonstrating your past surgical patient care experience and quick critical thinking. The setting offers opportunities to collaborate with ICU-trained staff and utilize advanced monitoring technology like EPIC EMR and GE monitors. This assignment uniquely combines the fast-paced demands of transplant surgery recovery with a supportive team that includes ICU resource RNs, hospitalists, intensivists, and support staff, all within a spacious, well-equipped facility.
