Job Description:

Join a busy ICU team in Rapid City for a 13-week travel contract working 12-hour night shifts. As an experienced ICU RN, you’ll be managing a mix of complex surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma patients within a 39-bed unit divided into specialized pods. Expect to handle patients with diagnoses like ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, post-cardiac cath, and multi-system trauma. This role offers a firsthand opportunity to hone your skills in ventilator management, hemodynamic lines, proning, sedation, and vasopressors, all while working alongside a dedicated team of physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff. The unit appreciates prior ICU experience, especially with cardiac or trauma cases, and requires certain certifications, including TNCC and ACLS, which travelers must obtain before starting. The setting is fast-paced and critical, demanding strong assessment skills, teamwork, and adaptability to float within adult units if needed.
