Job Description:

Join a dedicated team on a 20-bed medical-surgical unit where you'll play a vital role in managing patient care for individuals with conditions such as falls, CHF, bowel obstruction, A-fib, and swingbed cases. This assignment requires confidence in assessments, infusion pump operation, medication administration, and teamwork. While the setting is busy, it offers the chance to hone your skills in a supportive environment without ventilated patients. ER experience is preferred but not required—first-time travelers are welcome. As an RN here, you'll also perform titration on insulin, heparin, and Amiodarone drips, ensuring precise and safe medication delivery. You will read and document strip readings on Mindray monitors and coordinate seamlessly with CNAs, PCTs, and respiratory equipment management. The unit operates on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, with block scheduling options and a commitment of approximately 36 hours per week. This is a contract opportunity designed for those who thrive in collaborative settings, where everyone works together to deliver quality care without traditional house supervisors but with a dedicated charge nurse available around the clock.
