Job Description:
This ER travel assignment in Breckenridge, Minnesota offers an opportunity to work in a Level IV trauma center with a dedicated stroke designation. You will be responsible for providing urgent and emergent care during 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, with a weekly commitment of 36 hours over a 13-week duration. The role involves managing a patient volume of approximately 10 per day, utilizing your ER experience and med-surg background to efficiently triage, stabilize, and coordinate patient flow. The setting features 4 beds and 2 trauma bays, with facilities like separate psych/seclusion rooms and intermingled ER holds. It’s a chance to showcase your skills in a busy emergency department where you’ll work alongside ED physicians, charge nurses, and on-call staff, with opportunities to troubleshoot telemetry equipment, read monitor strips, and perform labs with lab staff. This assignment calls for a professional who can adapt to a rotating schedule, collaborate effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
