Job Description:

Join our neuro medical-surgical unit in Peoria, Illinois, for a 13-week travel nursing contract working night shifts. This role offers the chance to work with a dedicated team on a 54-bed unit specializing in stroke, spine surgery, seizure, and other neuroscience cases. You’ll be responsible for managing patients with complex neurological conditions, titrating heparin drips based on PTT, and troubleshooting high-flow oxygen devices like vents, Cpap, and Bipap. The position requires previous neuro and level 1 trauma experience, along with at least some travel background. Expect to float in rotation, cover every other weekend and holiday, and engage in a comprehensive two-day orientation. The environment is designed for experienced neuro RNs who thrive in a fast-paced, specialized setting that values their expertise and independence.
