Job Description:

Join a fast-paced 24-bed Intermediate Unit in Kansas City as a PCU Registered Nurse. You'll be providing care for intermediate medical patients and managing surgical overflow cases, including TURPS, lap choles, laparoscopic procedures, eye surgeries, oral surgeries, diabetic teaching, and wound care. This role offers the opportunity to work on a dedicated telemetry unit where you'll interpret dysrhythmias, manage IV insulin protocols, and use cardiac monitoring systems. The landscape here is dynamic—sometimes you'll take extra patients if ratios shift, keeping you engaged and sharpening your skills. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week, with a 13-week contract, supporting the high throughput that keeps the unit running smoothly. This assignment is perfect for nurses with 1 to 2 years of telemetry experience looking to thrive in a tier-one, Magnet-recognized teaching hospital in Missouri.
