Job Description:

Join a dedicated medical surgical unit at a community hospital in Fishers, IN, for a 13-week travel assignment. This role places you in the hospital’s sole medsurg unit, where you’ll care for patients arriving from OR, ED, or downgrades from ICU/PCU. The shift is a 12-hour day schedule from 07:00 to 19:30, with a typical weekly commitment of 36 hours. Expect an environment that balances patient acuity with teamwork, as you manage approximately 8-12 admits daily. While the primary focus is on medsurg care, there might occasionally be float coverage to ICU/PCU or ED for medication holds. You’ll work to maintain a patient ratio close to 5:1, with flexibility up to 6:1, and will be required to work two or three major holidays during your contract. In this role, you'll bring your two or more years of experience, along with valid Indiana state licensure and BLS certification, with NIHSS preferred. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to hone your skills in a friendly community setting while enjoying the pace of a busy medsurg environment.
