Job Description:

This ICU RN contract places you in a 39-bed mixed ICU unit divided into specialized pods, covering MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU. As a traveler, you'll work 12-hour night shifts on a schedule that typically spans 13 weeks, providing an opportunity to manage complex patients such as those with ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, trauma, and post-surgical cases. Expect to handle high-acuity cases with patient ratios often at 1:1 or 1:2, requiring advanced skills in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, proning, and IV medication administration. This role is ideal for experienced ICU nurses with a solid background in critical care, comfortable with Epic documentation, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. You’ll also have opportunities to precept students and collaborate with a team of intensivists, charge nurses, and healthcare support staff. The position emphasizes flexibility to float within adult units and requires certification in TNCC, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS prior to start.
