Job Description:

Join us for a rewarding travel assignment on the Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit at John Muir Walnut Creek, a bustling facility with 321 beds, where you'll play a vital role in managing high-risk obstetric cases. This role is perfect for experienced OB nurses comfortable caring for complex pregnancies, such as those involving MgSO4 infusions, placenta previa, maternal cardiac history, twins, or lupus. Your duties will include monitoring fetal and maternal vital signs with HP central monitors, assisting in cesarean sections, D&Cs, and other obstetric procedures, and floating to mother-baby units as needed. Expect to work 12-hour day shifts, with a schedule that offers a blend of continuous patient care and unit support, all while being part of a team that includes nurse midwives, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and 24/7 respiratory and anesthesia support.
