Job Description:

This CCU Registered Nurse position places you in a highly specialized CICU/CVICU unit with just 18 beds, where you'll provide care for patients with the most critical and complex conditions, often using advanced equipment. The block scheduling offers flexibility, allowing for 6 days on and 8 days off, or weekend shifts from Friday to Sunday, with a requirement to cover 50% of holidays. Floating between ICU clusters, medical-surgical, and telemetry units, you will handle patients requiring concentrated, high-acuity attention. ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications are essential, and a minimum of two years ICU experience or one year in a Level 1 CTICU is preferred. This role is physically demanding, involving active movement, reaching, and handling objects over 20 lbs, all while maintaining strict safety protocols when contact with contagious illnesses is necessary. Be prepared for rotating shifts, including nights, and to work during holidays and in challenging weather conditions, in a healthcare environment operating 24/7. The ideal candidate—whether a seasoned traveler or trying this for the first time—will thrive in this fast-paced, high-stakes setting.
