Job Description:

Join a busy teaching hospital in Concord, NC, for an engaging travel contract focused on post-surgical care. This role involves managing orthopedic, spine, trauma, and vascular surgery patients in a 28-bed unit. Expect to perform incision assessments, wound care including vacs, chest tube management, mobility support, trach and NG care, and brace or traction assistance. The setting offers a mix of routine and surge cases, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of roughly 1:4 to 1:8 during peak times. You'll be part of a resource-rich team providing comprehensive support, including telemetry monitoring, behavioral de-escalation teams, rapid response, and assistance from RTs and hospitalists. Pack your BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications—these are essential—and bring your general post-surgical skillset.
