Job Description:

Join a reputable teaching hospital in Concord, NC, for an engaging travel nursing opportunity on a Medical/Surgical unit. You'll be working 12-hour day shifts, providing care to a variety of adult patients with diagnoses ranging from small bowel obstructions and bariatric surgery to joint replacements and abdominal surgeries. This role offers the chance to hone skills such as chest tube management, wound care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation, all while supporting a team that includes 24/7 charge nurses, resource nurses, and supportive support staff. The patient ratios vary from 1:4-6, occasionally reaching 1:7-8 during surge times. This assignment is perfect for nurses with at least 18 months of recent Med/Surg experience, comfortable floating within the region and utilizing technology such as EPIC EMR and remote telemetry monitoring. Expect to work every other weekend and about 75% of holidays, with a flexible schedule that can be extended by adding days off at the end of the contract.
