Job Description:

This PACU RN contract offers the opportunity to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced recovery unit with a mix of pediatric and adult patients. You will be responsible for caring for post-anesthesia patients emerging from surgery, including those requiring vent support, pressors, or blood products. The role involves recovering pediatric patients, some with disabilities, requiring sensitive and attentive care. Your day-to-day duties include monitoring patient recovery, reading vital sign strips in EPIC, and collaborating with charge nurses and assistants to ensure smooth handoffs. The assignment provides a chance to hone your skills in a dynamic environment while maintaining a balanced schedule of day-off periods. This unique setting appreciates compassionate team players who are comfortable working with diverse patient needs and are adaptable to floating between inpatient units when needed.
